Free. Local. No endless contractor hunt.

Head to 10th & Terrace on October 15 from 5:00–7:00 PM for a complimentary rooftop wine tasting led by Laurence Vuelta of Sunrise Wine. Sip your way through a curated selection while learning about the regions, winemakers, and stories behind each pour. It’s part of the rooftop’s monthly third-Thursday tasting series—and an easy way to discover a new favorite.
Not sponsored—we just think wine tastes a little better several stories up. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

October 10–11 — Get a Taste of Greece in Durham
You don’t need a plane ticket to spend the weekend eating gyro pita wraps and baklavá. St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church is bringing Greek food, music, and traditions together for two days in Durham.
A Taste of Greece takes place October 10 and 11 from 11 AM to 7 PM both days. Admission and parking are free, although organizers warn that the parking lot fills quickly and suggest considering a rideshare.
Food is naturally a big part of the weekend, with traditional Greek dishes and desserts available to enjoy in the dining tents or take home. Visitors can also browse a Greek Marketplace filled with specialty foods, art, jewelry, and souvenirs, plus an Attic Treasures sale featuring art, ceramics, textiles, and more.
You can also tour St. Barbara’s distinctive Byzantine-style domed church while you’re there. The festival takes place rain or shine, so a little bad weather doesn’t have to stand between you and the baklavá.
