November 5 — Free Bilingual Story Time at the Nasher Museum
Storytime gets an artistic twist at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, where young children can enjoy stories in two languages and explore the museum's galleries.
On Thursday, November 5, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the museum will host its monthly Bilingual Story Time in partnership with Durham County Library.
The program begins with a story read in both Spanish and English, followed by a short discussion about an artwork in the museum's collection. Children then get to participate in a related hands-on artmaking activity, connecting what they've heard and seen with something they can create themselves.
The program is free for children ages 1–5 and their adult caregivers, offering an introduction to both bilingual storytelling and art appreciation.
Bilingual Story Time takes place on the first Thursday of each month, with story sessions beginning at 10:30 AM and 11 AM.

Anchorlight is this quiet little spot on South Bloodworth where local artists work and show their stuff. It’s not flashy, but it’s cool to walk through and see what people are making. They do open studios sometimes, and it feels like you’ve just stumbled into something real.
