Remodeling Your Wake County Home?
The average major kitchen remodel costs about $80,000. You probably don't want to pick the contractor by Googling “remodeler near me.”
Tell us what you're planning and your budget. We'll connect you with up to three reputable Raleigh remodelers who may be a good fit.
Free. Local. No endless contractor hunt.

Tea on Tenth is a lovely excuse to slow down on September 6. From 11:00 AM–2:00 PM, 10th & Terrace is serving afternoon tea on its rooftop with locally sourced specialty teas, scones, pastries, biscuits with butter and jam, tea sandwiches, and other small bites. It’s $40 per person, with tax included and a 20% gratuity added.
Not sponsored—we just think tea tastes better with a view. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

Tuesdays — Ice Cream Tacos for Less
Taco Tuesday comes in a slightly different form at Fat Cat Homemade Ice Cream in Fuquay-Varina. Every Tuesday, the shop offers its ice cream tacos for $6.75 instead of the regular $7.75.
The dessert starts with a waffle taco shell and comes topped with a scoop of your choice of ice cream, two toppings, whipped cream, and sprinkles. Dairy-free ice cream, whipped cream, and toppings are available as well.
For anyone who enjoys customizing their dessert, there are plenty of ways to mix and match flavors and toppings. And if you've never tried an ice cream taco before, this feels like a fairly low-risk introduction.
If you're looking to switch up the usual cone or cup, Tuesdays might be the time to do it.

The Roast Grill is one of those places you kind of stumble into once and then quietly keep to yourself. It’s tiny, cash-only, and they only do hot dogs…but somehow that’s the whole magic of it. Nothing fancy, just a grill that’s been doing its thing forever and a vibe that feels like Raleigh before everything got polished.
