Wolfe & Porter is turning into a treasure hunter’s playground on Sunday, August 23, from 2:00–7:00 PM with its Vintage, Makers & Yummy Food Market. Browse vintage finds and locally made goods from vendors set up inside and outside, grab a cocktail, and follow your nose to the food—including hot dogs on the back patio. The market rolls on rain or shine, so questionable clouds are no excuse.
Not sponsored. We’re just pro-hot dog and treasure hunting. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

August 21–22 — Help Count the Pollinators
You don't need to be a scientist to contribute to real scientific research.
On Friday, August 21, and Saturday, August 22, visitors to the J.C. Raulston Arboretum can take part in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census, a community science event that asks participants to count bees, butterflies, wasps, flies, and other pollinating insects throughout the gardens.
The information collected over the two days will be submitted to the Great Southeast Pollinator Census, where it becomes part of a larger regional database used by researchers to monitor pollinator populations and identify long-term trends.
It's a fun way to spend time outdoors while taking a closer look at the insects that help gardens, farms, and natural ecosystems thrive. You may leave with a new appreciation for just how much activity is happening among the flowers.
