Weekends in October — Singing Skeletons Take Over a Raleigh Front Yard

Some people put a few pumpkins on the porch for Halloween. One Raleigh family has gone considerably further.

Deadford Manor is a free animated skeleton show staged in the front yard of a home at 10839 Bedfordtown Drive. The elaborate display features multiple skeletons that sing, tell jokes, and perform for visitors—the result of what the family describes as a hobby that “turned into an obsession.”

Shows run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through October 31, with performances at 7 PM, 7:30 PM, and 8 PM each night.

There’s no admission charge, making this an unusually elaborate bit of neighborhood Halloween entertainment you can simply stop by and watch. Just remember that it’s still a residential street: visitors are asked to be considerate of the surrounding neighbors and make sure they don’t block anyone’s driveway.
