Raleigh Wide Open Music Festival returns October 1–3, kicking off Thursday at N.C. State’s Centennial Campus before moving downtown October 2–3. Multiple music stages will fill the streets alongside food trucks, art vendors, and more, all celebrating Raleigh’s traditional music community. The entire festival is free and open to everyone. September 26 — A Free Community Day at Olde Raleigh Village
Free food, live music, games, and a few surprises are coming to Olde Raleigh Village for an afternoon built around bringing the neighborhood together.
On Saturday, September 26, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM, Olde Raleigh Village will host a completely free Community Day with activities for both kids and adults. There will be face painting, games, giveaways, live music, and light bites available throughout the event.
And the food goes a little beyond the usual event snacks. The free spread includes spinach and feta triangles, Havarti and guava bites, tarragon chicken croissants, turkey club sliders, cookies, brownies, and more.
Olde Raleigh Village is also keeping part of the day under wraps, with additional surprises and a larger announcement planned just before the event.
For a free Saturday outing with lunch bites and plenty happening around you, there’s quite a bit packed into two and a half hours.
