Through October 24 — Halloween Magic Takes Over Mordecai

Mordecai Historic Park is getting into the Halloween spirit with Spellbound at Mordecai, a free celebration designed for families and kids.

Running through October 24 from 10 AM to 2 PM, the event includes plenty to do throughout the historic park. Kids can decorate a pumpkin to take home, make Halloween crafts, play on inflatables, and meet mysterious costumed characters. There will also be family-friendly stage performances and vendors selling handmade items and treats.

Visitors are encouraged to dress for the occasion. A costume contest will award prizes for the best children’s costume and best group costume, so coordinating costumes with the family could pay off.

The event is intentionally keeping things on the lighter side of Halloween: no horror, gore, weapons, or full masks are permitted.
