Coffee, Ice Cream, and Skyline Views at Dix Park
There’s a new place to grab a drink while spending time at Dorothea Dix Park, and the setting is a pretty good reason to check it out.
Flowers Cottage is home to Cottage Coffee & Park Bar, a two-in-one concept with a coffee shop upstairs and a bar downstairs. The menu covers both sides of the day with coffee, matcha, house-made sodas, draft and canned beer, wine, soft serve ice cream, and snacks.
Then there’s the location. Flowers Cottage sits within Dix Park, where you can take your drink outside, find a comfortable chair in the grass, and enjoy sweeping views of the Downtown Raleigh skyline.
It’s an interesting use of the historic cottage and a new option for anyone who already spends time exploring the park. Coffee upstairs, a drink downstairs, and plenty of green space right outside the door makes for a pretty appealing combination.
