Anime fans, this one's for you. NCMA Loves Anime returns to the North Carolina Museum of Art on June 13 with a full day of artists, vendors, music, and food before an evening screening of Mamoru Hosoda’s beloved film Summer Wars. Browse booths from returning favorites and new creators, hunt for unique finds, and grab a plate from the Crispy Gyoza food truck while you're at it.
Whether you're a longtime anime fan or just curious about the scene, it's an easy way to spend a day discovering local artists, collecting something fun, and soaking up the festival atmosphere before the movie begins.
Not sponsored—we're just suckers for a good bazaar. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

June 6 — Cars, Steak, and a Surprisingly Specific Festival Combination
Some events sound like they were created after someone combined two completely different ideas and discovered they worked together. The 4th Annual Cars and Carnivores Street Festival in Wake Forest is one of those events.
Starting at 8 AM on June 6, the free, family-friendly festival brings together a 100+ vehicle car show and a steak cook-off competition, along with food trucks, vendors, live entertainment, raffles, and plenty of activities for kids. It's a combination that somehow manages to appeal to car enthusiasts, food lovers, families, and people who simply enjoy wandering around a lively street festival.
There’s also something refreshing about an event that offers enough variety that nobody has to spend the entire day doing the same thing. Whether you're there for the vehicles, the competition, or just to see what catches your attention, there seems to be plenty to explore.
