A Used Bookstore Thatās Been Around Since 1975
Some bookstores feel curated for social media photos. Reader's Corner feels more like the kind of place where you wander in looking for one thing and leave an hour later holding three completely unrelated books and possibly a record you didnāt plan on buying.
The shop has been buying and selling used books, records, and CDs since 1975 and is one of the oldest surviving used bookstores in Raleigh. That alone makes it feel worth appreciating a little. Places like this tend to disappear quietly over time, and somehow Readerās Corner is still here doing its thing.
It also feels increasingly rare to find a spot where books, music, and random discoveries all exist together under one roof without feeling overly polished. If you enjoy browsing more than shopping with a specific plan, this seems like an easy place to lose track of time.

Sola Coffee Cafe is this cozy spot in North Raleigh that's been around since 2012. It's family-owned, and you can really feel that personal touch when you walk in. They serve up locally roasted Counter Culture Coffee, and their cardamom latte is something special. Don't even get me started on their mini doughnutsāthey're a must-try. It's just one of those places where you can relax, chat with friends, and feel at home.
