Free. Local. No endless contractor hunt.

Downtown Cary Park wraps up its 2026 outdoor movie series with Minions (PG) on November 6 from 7:30–10:00 PM at the Great Lawn Pavilion. Follow Kevin, Stuart, and Bob on their hilarious quest to find a new villain to serve, with plenty of chaos along the way. Food trucks will be on-site, so bring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in. Admission is free, and seating is first-come, first-served, with lawn setup beginning at 5:00 PM.

Not sponsored—we just think the Minions deserve one last big-screen adventure. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

Through November 1 — A Witchy Halloween Cocktail Bar Takes Over Wye Hill

Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing has traded its usual look for something considerably more mysterious, transforming into an elaborate Halloween cocktail bar called Witch, Please!

The immersive pop-up takes inspiration from an ancient apothecary, with flickering candles, weathered spell books, hanging herbs, and plenty of witchy details throughout the space.

The cocktail menu, appropriately called Potions & Elixirs, features botanical-infused drinks served with theatrical touches like scorched herbs, smoking dry ice, and dramatic tableside pours. Some cocktails even come in custom Halloween ceramic mugs. There are also seasonal, chef-curated dishes to accompany the drinks.

The pop-up is open daily, with hours varying by day. Monday through Wednesday, 4 PM to 10 PM; Thursday, 4 PM to 12 AM; Friday, 11 AM to 12 AM; Saturday, 10 AM to 12 AM; and Sunday, 10 AM to 9 PM.

The Halloween transformation is listed as running through November 1, giving visitors a few more days to experience Raleigh's temporary apothecary-inspired cocktail bar.
