July 7 — The Interns Take Over the Garden Tour
Most garden tours are led by longtime experts. This Plant Lover's Tour at the JC Raulston Arboretum offers a slightly different perspective.
On July 7 from 9 AM to 10 AM, the 2026 Summer Horticulture Interns will lead the tour, highlighting some of the plants that caught their attention during their time working in the garden. The theme, "Interns' Top Picks," focuses on everything from botanical oddities to lesser-known plants that might otherwise go unnoticed.
By midsummer, the interns have spent months immersed in the arboretum's collection, giving them a unique view of what makes certain plants memorable. That fresh perspective is part of what makes this annual tour stand out from a typical walk through the gardens.
For plant enthusiasts, it's an opportunity to see the collection through a different lens and perhaps discover a few new favorites along the way.
