Remodeling Your Wake County Home?

The average major kitchen remodel costs about $80,000. You probably don't want to pick the contractor by Googling “remodeler near me.”

Tell us what you're planning and your budget. We'll connect you with up to three reputable Raleigh remodelers who may be a good fit.

Free. Local. No endless contractor hunt.

The Market at RIW returns October 10 from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM at Raleigh Iron Works. Organized by Triangle Pop-Up, this Second Saturday market brings local artisans together for an afternoon of shopping and discovering handmade and locally created goods. It’s an easy excuse to wander Raleigh Iron Works, meet the people behind the products, and see what catches your eye.

Not sponsored—we just like knowing who made the thing we’re buying. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

October 6 — Pints, Pups, and Adoptable Dogs

Cold beer and dogs looking for homes make a pretty compelling Tuesday night combination.

On Tuesday, October 6, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Ponysaurus Brewing Co. at Raleigh Iron Works will host Pints & Pups, its free monthly adoption event with Hope Animal Rescue.

The event brings puppies and foster dogs available for adoption to the brewery, giving visitors a chance to meet and spend some time with them in a relaxed setting. Ponysaurus shares the featured dogs and breeds on its social media ahead of each month’s event, so check their social media before you go for a preview of the pups expected to attend.

Pints & Pups takes place on the first Tuesday of every month, so there are more opportunities to stop by even if adopting a dog isn’t in the cards this time around. And if it is, you might leave with considerably more than a pint.

Near downtown I stand where their memories are held.
