Celebrate Juneteenth with an afternoon full of music, creativity, and community on Friday, June 19, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Hosted by Marbles Kids Museum in the Playway and Moore Square, this joyful event features local artists, a vendor market curated by Taste of BLK, food trucks, games, and plenty of activities for all ages. Bring the family, explore the vendors, and enjoy a lively day outdoors filled with great food and entertainment.

June 15 — A Summer Kickoff Built Around Food and Family Fun
Summer break brings plenty of freedom for kids, but it can also mean families lose access to meals normally provided through school. That's part of what makes the SUN Meals Kickoff event on June 15 at Wakefield Missionary Baptist Church worth knowing about.
The free event takes place from 12 PM to 1 PM and celebrates the start of the Summer Food Service Program, a USDA-funded program that provides meals at no cost to children ages 0–18 during the summer months.
Alongside information about the program, families can enjoy face painting, games, crafts, a fire truck, visits with Ray the SUN Meals mascot, and opportunities to meet Wake County's 4H team and the program's sponsors.
The event is equal parts celebration and community resource, offering a chance to learn more about a program designed to help keep kids fed while school is out.
