Remodeling Your Wake County Home?
The average major kitchen remodel costs about $80,000. You probably don't want to pick the contractor by Googling “remodeler near me.”
Tell us what you're planning and your budget. We'll connect you with up to three reputable Raleigh remodelers who may be a good fit.
Free. Local. No endless contractor hunt.

Head to the McKimmon Center on September 26 from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM for the Engage Raleigh Community and Neighborhood Expo. This year’s theme, “Community in a Digital Age,” focuses on why community involvement matters and the different ways Raleigh residents can participate in local decision-making and connect with their neighborhoods. The event is free, so take a look at what’s planned and register to join in.
Not sponsored—we just like knowing what’s happening in our own backyard. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

Tuesdays — A Run Club That Ends With Beer
Running is a little easier to look forward to when there’s a beer waiting at the finish line.
Every Tuesday at 6 PM, Run, Sweat, Beers Run Club meets at Growler Grlz for a run, jog, or walk that starts and finishes at the same spot. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome, and there’s no registration or sign-up required—just show up and join in.
Afterward, the group heads back to Growler Grlz to grab a beer and hang out. The club has been going strong for more than five years, so this isn’t exactly a new experiment; it’s become a regular Tuesday tradition.
There’s also a little incentive for newcomers. Complete your first dozen runs with the group and you’ll earn a free Growler Grlz T-shirt.
Run first, beer afterward. As weekly routines go, this one has a pretty satisfying finish line.

The Winchester is one of those spots you wouldn’t notice unless someone told you about it. Tucked in a North Raleigh strip mall, it’s super chill—just good beer, friendly people, and soccer always on. You can bring your own food, hang out, and it never feels crowded or loud. It’s kinda the go-to for folks who want a no-drama place to unwind.
