Remodeling Your Wake County Home?

The average major kitchen remodel costs about $80,000. You probably don't want to pick the contractor by Googling “remodeler near me.”

Tell us what you're planning and your budget. We'll connect you with up to three reputable Raleigh remodelers who may be a good fit.

Free. Local. No endless contractor hunt.

The Hartwell Farmers Market returns to Hartwell Raleigh on November 15 from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, bringing a fresh lineup of vendors and plenty of autumn atmosphere. Explore the market, discover new local businesses, and enjoy live music from Savanna Bassett throughout the day. Hot drinks, cold refreshments, and boozy beverages will also be available. Admission is free, making it an easy way to spend a relaxed fall Sunday.

Not sponsored—we just think a farmers market pairs nicely with live music and a cozy drink. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

November 11 — Take a Free Yoga Class and Support a Local Food Bank

A little movement can go a long way, especially when it helps support a good cause.

On Wednesday, November 11, from 7 PM to 8 PM, YogaSix Glenwood South in downtown Raleigh is offering a free Y6 Sculpt class in exchange for a canned food donation benefiting a local food bank.

Y6 Sculpt combines yoga-inspired movement with strength-building exercises, offering a workout that incorporates both flexibility and muscle conditioning.

Instead of paying for the class, participants are asked to bring unexpired canned food items to donate. It's an opportunity to try something different while contributing to a community food drive.

Space is limited, so advance reservations are required through the YogaSix app or website. Registration is free.

Near downtown I stand where their memories are held.

Raleigh Hidden Gem:

Angie’s Restaurant is where Raleigh locals go for a no-frills, feel-good Southern breakfast. This spot serves up fluffy biscuits, perfect grits, and country ham that hits just right. The service? Like family. The portions? Generous. The vibe? Classic diner, with a side of sweet tea and hospitality. Just don’t sleep in too late…it’s a breakfast-and-lunch-only kind of place, and the regulars don’t play when it comes to getting their favorite booth.
