Fire Station 3 Open House and New Home Celebration

Tour the new station, explore local fire department history, and see what’s behind the bay doors.

Raleigh Fire Station 3 is opening its doors—and this time, they’re brand-new. On June 15 from noon to 4 PM, the public is invited to celebrate the station’s new home with tours, light refreshments, and a dedication ceremony to kick things off.

Visitors can explore the new facility, learn more about the Raleigh Fire Department’s history through a public art installation, and get a behind-the-scenes look at a place most people only see from the street. Whether you're a fire truck enthusiast or just curious about the neighborhood's newest public building, it’s a fun way to spend part of a Monday afternoon.

Tuesdays — Adult Coloring Night at Hi-Wire

Adult coloring books had a moment a few years ago, but apparently the idea never completely disappeared. Every Tuesday from 6 PM to 10 PM, Hi-Wire Brewing hosts a free Adult Coloring Night where visitors can grab a coloring page, fill a cup with supplies from the art table, and settle in for the evening.

The setup is simple: coloring materials are provided, participation is free, and there's no pressure to be particularly artistic about it. It's less art class and more something to do with your hands while spending time with friends.

There's also a Tuesday bonus for beer drinkers. Flagship pints are $5 during the event, making it an easy midweek activity that doesn't require much planning or commitment.

Sometimes the best weeknight events are the ones that keep expectations low and give people a reason to linger for a while.

Pine State Coffee is one of those spots you might miss if you didn't know better. They roast their own beans from places like Guatemala and Honduras, so every cup is fresh and flavorful. It's not just a coffee shop…they've got this cool selection of cycling gear too. The vibe is relaxed, making it a great place to chill or get some work done. And if you're into supporting local businesses that put care into their craft, this is the place to be.
