Fall FunFest returns to Redford Place Park on November 14 from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, bringing a lively celebration to Redford Place Drive. Enjoy inflatables, yard games, bubbles, music, and a photo booth, plus food trucks and local vendors. Families can also snap a seasonal photo with a fire truck and explore activities throughout the park. Bring the kids, invite some friends, and enjoy a Saturday filled with fall fun.
Not sponsored—we just think bubbles and a fire truck make a pretty great Saturday. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

November 7 — Explore the Universe at a Free Astronomy Research Day
You don't need a telescope—or a degree in astrophysics—to explore some of the universe's biggest mysteries this weekend.
On Saturday, November 7, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is hosting Astronomy & Astrophysics Research Day, a free event featuring scientific presentations, meteorites, telescope demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
Visitors can examine actual meteorites from the Moon, Mars, and asteroids, learn about space exploration from NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassadors, and meet members of the Raleigh Astronomy Club.
There are also two research presentations: At 11 AM, Dr. Rachel Smith will discuss massive young stars and planetary formation. At 12 PM, Dr. Patrick Treuthardt will explain how volunteers and artificial intelligence are helping scientists study spiral galaxies.
Guests can even contribute to astronomical research through the museum's Spiral Graph citizen science project, which involves identifying and measuring the arms of distant galaxies.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
