Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer with an evening made just for four-legged friends at Morrisville Dog Park on Friday, July 17, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Inspired by Sirius, the famous "dog star," this paws-itively fun event features splash pools, pup cups, food trucks, local vendors, music, and plenty of tail-wagging excitement. If your dog isn't a park member, be sure to bring proof of a current rabies vaccination so they can join the fun.

A Raleigh Shop Dedicated Entirely to Cheese Boards
At some point, cheese boards quietly became their own category of event planning. Raleigh Cheesy is leaning fully into that reality with hand-crafted cheese and charcuterie boards designed for everything from small gatherings to larger events.
The brick-and-mortar shop offers grab-and-go snack boxes, next-day pickup for larger boards, and ingredients for people who want to build their own setup at home. Which honestly feels helpful for anyone who has ever stared at a grocery store cheese section pretending to understand pairing strategy.
There’s something nice about a place built around making hosting feel slightly less stressful without turning it into a huge production. And even if you’re not planning an event anytime soon, a snack-sized cheese box still feels like a fairly solid way to improve an average afternoon.
If your ideal contribution to a gathering involves arriving with an impressive-looking board instead of cooking, this seems worth keeping in mind.

Benny Capitale’s is that downtown Raleigh spot you stumble into once and never forget—mostly because the slice you ordered is roughly the size of your torso. It’s not fancy, it’s not fussy, but when it’s late and you need something solid, Benny’s delivers. The crust holds up, the cheese is generous, and the vibe is pure no-frills comfort.
