The Sunday Funday Market returns to Rebus Works on October 18 from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. This small, thoughtfully curated monthly market brings together local makers and small businesses for a relaxed afternoon of browsing and shopping. Grab a coffee, wander through the vendors, and see what catches your eye. It's an easygoing way to support local businesses without making a whole day of it.

Not sponsored—we just think coffee and shopping make excellent Sunday companions. (Just so you know: Sponsored content in our newsletter is always marked with “*”).

October 16 — Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the North Carolina Symphony

The North Carolina Symphony is bringing one of America's most recognizable orchestral works to Raleigh for three performances across two days.

On Friday, October 16, at 12 PM and 8 PM, and Saturday, October 17, at 8 PM, the orchestra presents Rhapsody in Blue, featuring pianist Clayton Stephenson and conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto.

The program opens with Leonard Bernstein's lively Overture to Candide, followed by George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, famous for its unmistakable opening clarinet glissando and blend of jazz and classical music. The concert also includes Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, bringing familiar melodies from the beloved musical into the concert hall.

It's a chance to hear three celebrated American compositions, with a choice between a midday concert and two evening performances.
