October 24 — Free Americana Concert at Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse

Live music, coffee, and homemade desserts are all available on a pay-what-you-can basis at Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse in Durham, where the focus is on bringing people together through music.

On Saturday, October 24, at 7:30 PM, the coffeehouse welcomes Graybirds, a three-piece Americana band featuring Cathy, Tom, and George, who have been playing together in various groups for more than a decade.

Their music blends folk, country, and a touch of rock, along with original songs. The trio draws inspiration from artists including Alison Krauss, Rosanne Cash, and Nanci Griffith.

Sacred Grounds is an outreach ministry of St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 2700 North Roxboro Street. Rather than charging admission or setting prices for refreshments, the coffeehouse operates entirely on donations, including its concerts, coffee, and desserts.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, giving visitors time to settle in before the music begins.
