The City of Raleigh Museum celebrates its 10th Annual Day of the Dead on November 6 from 6:30–9:00 PM at 220 Fayetteville Street. The evening features a traditional altar honoring Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada, folkloric dancing, live music, poetry, and an ancestral Otomi dance performance. Visitors can also enjoy traditional bread, hot chocolate, cacao atole, face painting, and family-friendly arts and crafts.

Thursdays — Classic Hip-Hop and $10 Cocktails at Boatman Spirits Co.

A little old-school hip-hop and a classic cocktail make for a different kind of Thursday night at Boatman Spirits Co. in Raleigh's Seaboard Station.

Every Thursday starting around 8 PM, the craft cocktail bar and distillery hosts Classic Cocktails and Classic Hip Hop, featuring a rotating lineup of Raleigh DJs spinning familiar tracks from hip-hop's earlier decades.

The drink special is straightforward: classic cocktails are $10 each throughout the event. Guests can also order food from Boatman's Mediterranean menu, making it easy to turn the evening into dinner and drinks rather than just a quick stop at the bar.

With different DJs taking over each week, the music lineup changes while the Thursday-night format stays the same.
