Tomato Daze returns to the Cary Farmers Market on Saturday, July 25, celebrating peak tomato season with fresh local tomatoes, tomato-inspired baked goods, prepared foods, and special offerings from local chefs. Whether you're hunting for the perfect heirloom or just looking for an excuse to spend a summer morning at the market, this flavorful tradition is worth adding to your weekend plans.

July 26 — Taste of Soul Brings the Cookout Downtown
Some food festivals are all about trying as many dishes as possible. Taste of Soul NC adds music, games, shopping, and family activities to turn it into an afternoon-long community gathering.
On July 26 from 1 PM to 8 PM, City Plaza in downtown Raleigh will host the latest Taste of Soul NC event. Admission is free, with visitors simply paying for whatever food and drinks they'd like to enjoy. Alongside a variety of food vendors, you'll find merchant booths, live performances, a DJ, and classic card games like Spades, Tunk, and Ginny Rummy, complete with score sheets for a little friendly competition.
Families can take advantage of kids' games and a bounce house, and well-behaved pets are welcome to join the fun as well. Whether you're coming for the food, the music, or just to spend a summer afternoon downtown, there's plenty happening throughout the day.
