Science, sloths, and a 70-foot globe—oh my! Downtown Raleigh’s crown jewel, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, has four floors of mind-blowing exhibits. It’s the Southeast’s largest natural history museum, featuring everything from live bugs to the “Terror of the South” dinosaur. Bonus? General admission is free (though you’ll need a ticket for most exhibitions and 3D films). Plan your adventure Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, because Mondays are strictly for the dinosaurs to rest.
