FEATURED RALEIGH DJ’s FOR August 6, 2012
My name is Blake Burney, aka Dj Triple B. I’ve been djing full time as a career for almost 15 years. I currently play at BUKU, White Collar, Busy Bee, the Hive, Brooklyn Heights, and several other spots. In the past I’ve played for WKNC, 5Star, Retail, Lizzy’s, Redroom, Bogarts, Soundfest, the Pour House, the Duke Coffee House, Hi5, the Lincoln Theater, Cats Cradle, and many more. I’ve also played in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, Wilmington, Boone, Chapel Hill, and Durham. I’ve played shows with, Z Trip, Raekwon, the Cool Kids, Chiddy Bang, Freebass 808, 9th Wonder, Kooley High, Apple Juice Orchestra, AOA, and more. I was just voted best Club Dj in the Indy’s Best Of edition, and have actually done several playlists for Charleston’s version of the Indy as well. I do Sample Slayer Sundays every week at Busy Bee which has now spawned the Deep Cut Mondays event I do with SPCL GST. They’re both brunch sets where you can have some special menu items accompanied by great music. On Sundays I only play “sampled music”, that has been used to make Hip Hop, House, RNB, Dancehall, Electronica etc.
