One of the biggest North Carolina music events of the fall, Moogfest returns to Asheville October 26 with Primus, Orbital, Miike Snow and many more.
The two-day event celebrates the life of Bob Moog, creator of the Moog synthesizers, which transformed electronic music. Moog was a long-time resident of Asheville and was a a research professor of music at the University of North Carolina before he passed away in 2005 at the age of 71.
The lineup this year features cutting-edge musicians from a variety of genres. The bill is topped by Primus, the oddball Northern California alternative rock act that is debuting a 3D performance on its current tour.
